Well 2020 has started with a bang! The huge activity across December for our team has springboarded us into a very successful start to 2020. The typically quiet December period was full of activity, with many of our agents meeting large volumes of buyers through our open homes right up until the weekend before Christmas.
With the majority of our team back on deck on January 6th we have been incredibly pleasantly surprised by the amount of activity and level of enquiry received to kick off the New Year. The numbers of prospective buyers through open homes in the first few weeks of January were phenomenal: we haven’t seen this level of interest throughout a January since 2007.
This is a positive start to 2020 and we would like to thank our sellers and buyers for their confidence in our team and the improving market. Of all our recent sales, I’d like to make special mention of two outstanding results: an auction property in Toowong and also a property in Kenmore.
120 Duke Street, Toowong is a beautiful 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom home that attracted over 47 groups in the first fortnight of the campaign. 9 offers were generated for the owners and the property was sold prior to auction for $1,060,000.
The other exceptional property I want to mention is 38 Woonalee Street, Kenmore. This 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom home attracted over 38 groups through the first open home resulting in 5 written offers being presented to the sellers that evening. 5 days on the market and sold after the first open home for $890,000.
Such interest during the first few weeks of 2020 has ensured our outlook for the coming months is at an all time high.
If you’re considering selling or would like to discuss the current market conditions or your property, don’t hesitate to contact the Ray White Toowong team.
